Re[2] : Mary is the subject of an email that offers pornographic photos but actually carries a file that enables an outsider to gain access to your email accounts, Internet set-up and what you are doing on your computer.
'Re: Mary' is one of several new Internet viruses discovered this week.
Re Mary emails are sent by james2003@hotmail.com
This Trojan Horse virus (also called ‘Backdoor/Sysbug’) is one of many that could arrive in your Inbox but it is categorized as low risk. It is classed as easy to eliminate but this takes valuable time to do.
Trojan Horse is the name given to a type of Internet virus that poses as a legitimate communication to gain entry to your computer. It can cause damage or compromise security and allow others to penetrate it too.
Most Trojan Horse viruses arrive in an 'alluring' program accompanying an email, such as a program apparently containing a joke or salacious images. The contents of the program can render your security and anti-virus programs ineffective.
In the case of Re Mary the program is an attachment called private.zip.
For more information about this virus threat and how to deal with it, visit the web site of your anti-virus software provider, such as Symantec (Norton branded products), Surf Control or McAfee.

A topenterprise PC received this email this week and it was identified and neutralized by Norton AntiVirus.
