Critical threats to Windows users – April 2004

'Someone else could take full control of your computer, download your files, change or delete them, install and modify programs'

13 04 2004

Microsoft has issued four security bulletins, three of them with a critical severity rating.

They affect users of many versions of Windows including Windows 98, 2000, XP, NT 4.0 and Windows Server 2003.

These security threats all involve ways that remote computers could gain entry to your computer without your knowledge or permission.

They are serious because someone else could take full control of your computer, download your files, change or delete them, install and modify programs – all without you being aware.

Microsoft advise their customers to apply the software updates immediately.
